Look what I found at the craft store in the jewelry section

I was at the store killing some time, when I saw these:

They kind of look like abalone to me, but they are fresh water pearls.

This was taken indoors and the flash made them look coppery

I marched outside, only to find the sun was so bright that it again looked coppery??????  Go figure.
